In this class, we learned how to work with Microsoft Office's top three products: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. We also learned about the Windows Operating System as well. During this course I learned that these three products can do a lot more than what I originally thought.
My biggest surprise with MS Word was that you can compose letters for many recipients and have each letter to each individual be personalized with their name and address in the same document automatically. This is great for sending out invites, memos, etc.
With MS Excel, I learned that you can format charts and even cells in very creative ways. With data charts, you can change colors, add more data or more labels, and even change the way the units appear. I also learned that you can format individual cells automatically by using conditional formatting. This will look at the conditions that the user sets and based on the outcome, change the cell to the preset formatting.
In MS PowerPoint, I learned that you can automate a lot of scenes while the PowerPoint is presenting. This includes, slides, objects, and media. I also learned that you can create new pictures and objects by grouping different objects together to create a whole new one.
